LEARN

Students participating in this program will be expected to complete two components: Online Coursework and Participation in the History of Psychology in Europe.

The History of Psychology in Europe study abroad program is designed to offer students a practical, emotional learning experience.  Many of the topics discussed in psychology are nothing more than textbook jargon and definitions to students, however this trip will change this thought completely.

The History of Psychology in Europe will provide students with instruction that is based on their personal experience and emotions associated with not only the topics of psychology, but also standing in the same places, walking the same paths, and seeing the same sights as some of psychology’s founding fathers.

Most importantly though, this study abroad program will challenge the students views and definitions of the concepts of travel and active learning.

STUDY ABROAD ASSIGNMENTS

● Electronic/Video Journal ●

Each student will be required to complete 5 Journal Posts throughout the study abroad portion of the trip.

These Journal Posts will help students reflect on their personal experiences and better understand their concept of self and its place in the world community.  Further, these posts will allow students to examine the importance of cultural and global awareness.

● Study Abroad Presentation ●

Each student will be required to complete a Final Study Abroad Presentation at the completion of the trip.

This presentation will help students reflect on their personal experiences and examine the concept of learning in a practical, experiential way.

Students will be asked to include a discussion about the locations visited and discuss the importance of practical learning through studying abroad.
